About Tim Wood Paranormal Investigator

Tim Wood is the founder of San Francisco Paranormal.  He is a paranormal investigator with over 20 years of experience. He is known for helping families with dark paranormal activity, and using cutting-edge paranormal experiments to document, and communicate with the other side.

A San Francisco Bay native he grew up in a haunted house. Having many paranormal experiences there, sparked Tim’s interest in the paranormal at an early age. He first started investigating the paranormal in Northern California in 2002 after attending school at UC Davis.  Since then he has joined and founded numerous paranormal research groups that have investigated many types of hauntings, Bay Area Paranormal Investigations (BAPI), Sonoma Spirit, and Bay Area Society for Paranormal Research (BASPR).  Tim studied the paranormal under Lloyd Auerbach.

In 2007 Tim created livescifi.tv the first live ghost hunt on the internet. LiveSciFi.tv since its inception has live broadcasted interactive paranormal investigations from some of the most well-known haunted locations in the world.  

His live, interactive, web broadcasts have been viewed by millions of viewers.  He is considered to be an expert paranormal investigator and live streaming innovator.

Tim’s technical innovations and unique approach to paranormal investigations have allowed viewers from all over the world to interact, and capture paranormal activity during his live paranormal investigations.

Paranormal Investigations

His paranormal investigations include some of the most haunted locations in the world. Sallie House, Bobby Mackey’s, Waverly Hills, Alcatraz, Sharon Tate House, Queen Mary, USS Hornet, Washoe Club, Haunted Hill House, Goatman’s Bridge, Villisca Axe Murder House, Welles House, and St. Mary’s Hospital.

He has also helped numerous families with private home paranormal investigations in the SF Bay area.

In 2013 he purchased the Welles House in Wilkes Barre, PA. Known as the Amityville House of Pennsylvania, Tim lived and conducted 24-7 paranormal investigations and experiments in the home, so that he could document paranormal phenomena.

Travel Channel Paranormal Shows

Tim has been featured on Travel Channel’s, “It Feels Evil and Ghost Town Terror” as a lead paranormal investigator.  He has also made appearances on Discovery+’s  Paranormal DeClassified, Fright Club, and Haunted Salem LIVE.  He has also appeared in numerous publications, books, and news articles regarding his paranormal research at these locations and hauntings.
